02. Is digital artwork allowed?

Yes. Digital artwork created is welcome.

However, to ensure proof of original human creation, participants are strongly advised to record a screen capture of the drawing process from start to finish. This process documentation may be requested if the submission is shortlisted or selected for prizes or verification purposes.

Failure to provide such proof, if requested, may affect eligibility for prizes or final validation.

03. Who is Image Infotainment Limited?

Image Infotainment Limited (IMAGE Group) is an education organisation from India with over 30 years of experience in creative education and skill development. The group works across animation, visual effects, gaming, design, and creative technologies, and is known for building large-scale creative initiatives and industry-aligned platforms for artists and creators.

04. Who can register for the event?

The GIANT Hunt is open to individual participants worldwide under the following age categories:

  • 09 to 15 years.
  • 16 to 24 years.
  • 25 years and above.

Participants must register under the correct age category.

05. Can minors participate?

Yes. Participants aged 9-17 years may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By completing registration, such consent is deemed to have been obtained.

06. Is this a team or individual contest?

This is an individual-only contest. Team or group submissions are not permitted.

07. Do I need to be a professional artist to participate?

No. The GIANT Hunt is open to anyone who can draw, regardless of whether you are a student, hobbyist, or professional artist.

08. What kind of artwork can I submit?

Participants must submit a hand-drawn anime or manga-style character artwork.

  • Both black-and-white and coloured artworks are allowed.
  • The artwork must clearly reflect anime or manga visual aesthetics, even if inspired by mythology, folklore, or original imagination.

09. Can I use AI tools for assistance?

No. Any use of AI generation, tracing, or automation will result in disqualification.

10. How many artworks can I submit?

Each participant may submit only one final artwork for their chosen character type.

11. What is the theme of the contest?

The theme of The GIANT Hunt is character creation based on the following seven character types.

  • Hero
  • Heroine
  • Villain
  • Rival
  • Mentor
  • Monster
  • Ally

Participants are expected to design original characters that clearly express the role, personality, and visual identity of the chosen archetype.

12. What can I use as inspiration for my character?

You may draw inspiration from:

  • Myths and folklore from any culture.
  • Cultural symbols and legends.
  • Original ideas and imagination.

However, the final artwork must be original and rendered in anime or manga style.

13. What should I avoid while creating my artwork?

Participants must not:

  • Draw copyrighted characters.
  • Recreate characters from published books, anime, manga, games, or films.
  • Closely imitate well-known characters or franchises.

The character must be original, even if inspired by cultural or mythological sources.

14. How do I submit my artwork?

Completed artwork must be clearly photographed or scanned and uploaded through the official GIANT submission portal in JPG or PNG format.

15. Do I need to physically send my artwork?

No. No physical shipment or courier submission of artwork is required or accepted.

16. What are the file requirements?

  • Maximum file size: 10 MB.
  • Accepted formats: JPG or PNG only.

17. Is there a registration fee?

Yes. Participation in The GIANT Hunt requires payment of a registration fee during the official registration process.

18. Is the registration fee refundable?

No. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including withdrawal, disqualification, or event changes.

19. Will there be any training or tutorial support?

Yes. Registered participants may receive access to tutorial or guidance content, which may be unlocked as part of the registration process. Details will be shared through official communication channels.

20. Will all submitted artworks be judged?

All submissions will first be checked for rule compliance. Valid entries will then be evaluated by the jury and considered for leaderboards ranking.

21. Who will judge the artworks?

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of independent jurors, including:

  • Members of the anime and manga community.
  • International anime club representatives.
  • Industry professionals.

All jury decisions are final and binding.

22. Will there be a leaderboard?

Yes. A leaderboard will showcase leading entries within each age category. The leaderboard will update as valid submissions are evaluated.

23. Will everyone receive a Guinness World Records certificate?

No. Registration alone does not guarantee inclusion in the final Guinness World Records count or certification.

Only valid and verified submissions that meet all contest and Guinness World Records requirements may be considered for evaluation.

24. Will my artwork be counted toward the record attempt?

All submitted artworks are intended to be part of the participation count, subject to Guinness World Records verification and approval.

25. What happens if my artwork looks similar to someone else's?

Due to the large number of submissions, similarities may occur. Such similarities alone do not constitute plagiarism or grounds for complaint.

26. Can my submission be disqualified?

Yes. Submissions may be disqualified if they:

  • Violate contest rules.
  • Use AI-generated or plagiarised content.
  • Infringe third-party rights.
  • Contain false information or obscene material.

30. Can I participate in more than one age category?

No. Participants may register and submit only once under the single age category applicable to them at the time of registration.

31. Will my artwork be displayed publicly even if I do not rank?

Submitted artworks may be displayed for contest documentation, exhibitions, media, or record verification purposes, regardless of ranking. Top 10 artworks in each category will also be displayed in the leaderboard.

32. Is there any content restriction?

Artwork containing hate speech, extreme violence, sexual content, or offensive material will not be accepted and may be disqualified.

33. When does registration for The GIANT Hunt open and close?

Registration for The GIANT Hunt opens on January 8 and will remain open until April.

34. When does the artwork submission window open?

The artwork submission window opens in March 2026.

35. What is the submission deadline for artwork entries?

The artwork submission window will remain open until April. Participants must ensure their final artwork is submitted within this period.

36. Can I register after the submission window starts?

Yes. Participants may continue to register until April. However, all registered participants must submit their artwork before the submission deadline in April.

37. Will the registration or submission dates be extended?

The organiser reserves the right to modify the registration or submission timelines if required. Any changes will be communicated through official channels.

38. How will I receive updates about deadlines and announcements?

All important updates, including registration timelines, submission deadlines, and results, will be communicated through:

39. Can one participant submit entries for more than one character type?

No. Each participant may submit only one final entry, for a single character type, under their applicable age category. Multiple entries are not permitted.
