At The GIANT Hunt, creators have the chance to put their original ideas before an international jury—and among the creative professionals reviewing submissions is Hiroshi Takane.
Born in Tama City, Tokyo, Takane is a Creative Director, Producer, Scriptwriter and Copywriter. He is also the Founder and CEO of Studio ONI, Japan, a creative studio known for its hand-drawn Japanese traditional ink-painting animation and art. His work spans worldbuilding, storytelling, advertising, immersive experiences, games and animation.
Building Worlds Beyond the Character
Takane has worked on worldbuilding, scriptwriting and copywriting for advertising and branded content for clients including NHK, LEXUS, SONY, DeNA, Wacoal, BABYMETAL and Granblue Fantasy.
He has also handled worldbuilding for Wonderia YOKOHAMA, an immersive edutainment facility. For the official Brawl Stars animation, he served as Director, Creative Director and Producer, while his work as a scriptwriter includes video games such as the Fire Emblem series.
Most recently, he served as Creative Director for Studio ONI's The Tale of Azai Nagamasa and His Family, created in connection with NHK's 2026 Taiga Drama Toyotomi Brothers! (BROTHERS IN ARMS).
From building worlds and writing stories to creating games, experiences and animation, his career has taken ideas across multiple creative forms.
