01. What is The GIANT Hunt?
The GIANT Hunt, presented by IMAGE Infotainment Limited, is the world's largest anime creator movement. It invites creators of all skill levels to create one original anime character, have their work evaluated by an international jury comprising award-winning creators, industry experts, and leading studios, and compete for global recognition and USD 300,000+ worth of prizes.
02. Who is IMAGE Infotainment Limited?
Image Infotainment Limited, also called as IMAGE Group, is India's pioneering creative education conglomerate. For over 30 years, it has empowered generations of creators through its various institutions and initiatives such as Image Creative Education, ICAT College of Design & Media, and Imageminds, making it one of the country's leading creative education ecosystems.
03. Who can participate?
Anyone aged 8 years and above can participate. Whether you're taking your first step as an aspiring creator or you're an experienced professional, The GIANT Hunt welcomes creators of all skill levels. Simply choose the category that matches your age and register.
04. What should I create?
Create one original anime character based on any of the official character categories. Your artwork must be your own original creation. Fan art, traced artwork, and AI-generated/enhanced artwork are not permitted.
05. How will the prizes be delivered?
Winners will be celebrated at The GIANT Hunt Grand Finale & Awards Ceremony to be held at Chennai, India. Following Proof of Creation verification, prizes will be awarded in accordance with the official contest rules. Winners who are unable to attend the event may receive their prizes through suitable logistical arrangements or opt for a cash equivalent of the top prizes. Any applicable taxes, duties, bank charges, or statutory fees shall be borne by the recipient.
06. What can I include in my submission?
You are required to submit an original anime-style character with sufficient defining details that clearly communicate your chosen character type, including elements such as expressions, costume design, personality, attitude, and other visual features relevant to that role. You may also label the character type if needed.
Additional elements such as backgrounds, turnaround views, environments, props, the character's name, speech/thought bubbles, onomatopoeia, storytelling panels, or scene compositions are optional. You may include them if you feel they help better communicate the character's personality, story, or world.
