Anyone aged 8 years and above can participate. Whether you're taking your first step as an aspiring creator or you're an experienced professional, The GIANT Hunt welcomes creators of all skill levels. Simply choose the category that matches your age and register.

Create one original anime character based on any of the official character categories. Your artwork must be your own original creation. Fan art, traced artwork, and AI-generated/enhanced artwork are not permitted.

Winners will be celebrated at The GIANT Hunt Grand Finale & Awards Ceremony to be held at Chennai, India. Following Proof of Creation verification, prizes will be awarded in accordance with the official contest rules. Winners who are unable to attend the event may receive their prizes through suitable logistical arrangements or opt for a cash equivalent of the top prizes. Any applicable taxes, duties, bank charges, or statutory fees shall be borne by the recipient.

You are required to submit an original anime-style character with sufficient defining details that clearly communicate your chosen character type, including elements such as expressions, costume design, personality, attitude, and other visual features relevant to that role. You may also label the character type if needed.

Additional elements such as backgrounds, turnaround views, environments, props, the character's name, speech/thought bubbles, onomatopoeia, storytelling panels, or scene compositions are optional. You may include them if you feel they help better communicate the character's personality, story, or world.

Entries will be evaluated by an international jury comprising award-winning creators, manga artists, animation professionals, filmmakers, and industry experts from around the world.

Learning resources are optional. If you're new to anime character creation, you can use the tutorials and live workshops before competing. Experienced creators may proceed directly to creating and submitting their artwork.

Profile verification helps us confirm your identity and age category, ensuring a fair competition for all participants. You may be asked to upload a valid government-issued identity document showing your name and date of birth. All information is used solely for verification purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

As a tribute to human creativity in the age of AI, top prize winners may be required to provide proof of creation during the verification process.

For digital artwork, this may include recordings or time-lapses. For traditional artwork, participants should retain their original artwork until the winners are announced.

Register online, complete your profile verification, create one original anime character, export it if done digitally or scan/capture a clear image of it, if done traditionally, and upload it through your participant dashboard.

Artwork must be submitted in PNG or JPEG format, with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

Participants compete for USD 300,000+ worth of prizes, including the Grand Prize of USD 100, 000 and many other exciting rewards.

Cash alternatives are available for applicable prizes in accordance with the official contest rules.

Top winners will be invited to The GIANT Hunt Grand Finale & Awards Ceremony, scheduled to take place in Chennai, India where the official prize presentation will take place.

International winners and those unable to attend may receive their prizes through appropriate logistical arrangements or, where applicable, opt for a cash equivalent of the top prizes in accordance with the official contest rules.

The participation to The GIANT Hunt ends by 10 November 2026, 11.59 PM IST.

No. Participants may register and submit only once under the single age category applicable to them at the time of registration.

Artwork containing hate speech, extreme violence, sexual content, or offensive material will not be accepted and may be disqualified.

Submitted artworks may be displayed for contest documentation, exhibitions, media, or record verification purposes, regardless of ranking.

No. Each participant may submit only one final entry, for a single character type, under their applicable age category. Multiple entries are not permitted.

Yes. Participation in The GIANT Hunt requires payment of a registration fee during the official registration process.

Participants must not:

• Draw copyrighted characters.
• Recreate characters from published books, anime, manga, games, or films.
• Closely imitate well-known characters or franchises.

The character must be original creation, even if inspired by cultural or mythological sources.

By submitting an entry, participants confirm that their artwork is their own original creation. Given the nature of creative work and the large number of submissions, similarities in concepts, themes, or character traits may occur. Similarity alone does not constitute plagiarism or grounds for disqualification. However, if there is credible evidence of copying, tracing, or infringement, The GIANT Hunt reserves the right to investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with the official contest rules.
